The Polls (AP, Coaches, & CFP, etc.)

Oregon is getting punished for playing a tough week 1 non-conference game on a "neutral site" 2000 miles away. While Alabama's non-conference schedule was shit and almost always has been.

If a one loss Bama stays ahead of them and gets in a lesson has been learned: Don't bother scheduling tough non-con games, it isn't worth it.

And definitely avoid "neutral" games.

If the committee wanted to make a real statement. Punish the SEC into going to a 9 game conference schedule like everyone else. Of course the whole conference looks a little bit better overall with that 4th OOC game, which you know they aren’t using to schedule anyone but the West Carolina and Samford of the world. Of course they’d never do that though.

They’d play Shriners Crippled Children’s Hospital if they could.

I guess it’s time for the weekly laugh at the FPI. ESPNs magical fantasy math world where

Texas A&M is a top 15 team

5-5 Missouri, who has lost 4 in a row. 2 of which were to Vanderbilt and Kentucky is #27

4-6 Miss State is #30

South Carolina who just dropped their 7th game is #36

In fact every SEC team besides Vandy Arkansas and Ole Miss ranks in the top 40. (And ole miss is creeping at 47)
