The Polls (AP, Coaches, & CFP, etc.)

There are no rules..the committee does what it does. Not a jury they don’t dispense justice.
The comment was in support of @buckeyemania11 and in context to the fact that they (CFP and sEcSPiN) analysis and interpretations of available data is comical at best. Too anyone with a shred of common sense, both groups comments based on their analysis are hypocritical and nonsensical.

And, yes the CFP committee is judge and jury when it comes to the selection of the teams.

But, hey it’s week 1 and the hilarity and asininity of the selection soap opera has some twist and turns and a ways to go....

I think they like to tweak certain fan bases for click bait. Probably best to ignore it all till the last vote.

I’m not going to bitch about the rankings. Get into the top 4 then prove you’re the best. All that matters.
True to an extent. Had we been ranked #1 last year like we should have been, we get that practice against OU that LSU got, while LSU and Clemson get to bash eachother's heads against a wall for a full game. I'd like our chances with a beat up Clemson at that point......since we beat them straight up the first time.

Alabama's defense gave up 647 yards, 379 through the air, and 48 points to Ole Miss (3-4) in a 15 point win.
Alabama gave up 544 yards, 435 of which came though the air, to Texas A&M
Alabama gave up 564 yards, 414 of which came through the air, to Georgia... starting a former walk-on at QB, mind you.

Ohio State just gave up 490 yards, 491 of which came though the air, to a top 10 Indiana.

The CFP panelists are supposed to be watching the games as should realize this. Next question.
But Bama’s defense pins their ears back has plenty of moxie and plays well in space.

How do they look getting off the bus?

Just fair to middling, but you probably won't be seeing Saban getting off the bus today.......

They must have really passed the eye test when they barely beat a horrible Miss State team last week......
That had a total of what, 50 scholarship players capable of playing for MSU also? GMAFB. Now add into this season that the BiG is going to be playing in shit weather the next few weeks and the scores and games are likely to have repercussions because of it, just adds more to the ability for "eye test" to be completely fucking blind.

What are the odds that we can grab the number 1 spot ? I believe it's less than 10% given the CFP committee biases and the probable outcomes of the remaining games ....

Which leaves us at either 2 or 3 if we win out. Makes no difference.

This is the first year that I could care less who grabs the number 4 spot. Whoever it is will most likely be an easy win for Bama.

OSU always seems destine to have the harder path. I'll just be overjoyed if don't have to endure an SEC ref crew for any of the games. Fuck those guys and that cocksucker in the replay bunker in Birmingham.

The thought is we are a pro team playing in a semi pro league. Of course tOSU wins. Because of that they use history to define us and they think 2014 was an anomaly not that tOSU was best team. It will be that way forever we can’t change the narrative. Until we beat Clemson and Alabama in the same year.

Because the ACC isn't the weakest BCS/P5 conference since Big Easy bit the dust?

That "narrative" will never change, regardless of what we do, because it's driven by billions of dollars and decades of investment.

I think they like to tweak certain fan bases for click bait. Probably best to ignore it all till the last vote.

... and then continue ignoring it.
I haven't watched one of those shows since 2016.

Beat Michigan, go to Indy, take our shots in the staged ESPN beauty pageant. Ohio against the world.

We have to get this game in tomorrow. IF not, the total number of games played may be an issue but win tomorrow and even if Covid is an issue, be back by CCG and then qualify for CFP. Bonus there should also be no worry about Covid killing us week of playoff like is the nightmare scenario.
