The show "Modern Marvels" on History Channel

Thump

Hating the environment since 1994
  • Anyone else hooked on this show whenever they pass it flipping through the channels?

I love seeing how stuff works and I get sucked into watching stuff I don't even care about.

I watched two of them a few weeks ago, one was a 1 hour episode on how oil refineries work and the other was a one hour episode on the evolution of the hydraulic jack.

Needless to say my wife can't stand the shows but I love them.

They had one on this weekend on machines used to make foods such as Drumsticks, ice cream bars, Twinkies etc...

Most everything on the History channel is good... when I watch TV (outside of sports... and by sports I mean college & Pro Football, men's college basketball, NHL, and on occasion golf on Sundays) the TV is on the history channel... great stuff!!

I watch the History Channel more than anything else, but lately I've been getting hooked on the Science Channel...there's some cool shit shown there, especially when they do space stuff.

tuesday night is space night on science channel. generally pretty good.

history channel in general is good. i like modern marvels, but i have to have some vague interest in the topic to watch.

the history channel special on the french revolution recently was excellent.
