The Texas Bowl highlights a busy day in college football bowl season bets, odds

As the New Year draws closer, six more bowls are on the schedule over the next two days.
Bowl season ATS: 6-4 (5-3 National, 1-1 B1G)
Season ATS: 100-94-3 (45-42-2 National, 55-52-1 B1G)
Armed Forces Bowl: California (-7) v. Air Force - Tuesday 2:00 p.m. - ESPN
We have quite a contrast in styles in this game. California and Jared Goff will look to hurt Air Force through the air. Goff will likely be playing in his final game for the Golden Bears, and has already broke his own records for passing yards and touchdown passes in a season, while also besting Aaron Rodgers' school career records for passing yards and touchdown passes. Goff likes to spread the football around, as Cal is the only school with six players with at least 35 catches, 450 yards receiving, and two touchdown catches.
While Cal will try and move the football through the air, Air Force will use their triple-option attack on the ground. The Falcons have the second ranked rushing attack in the country, averaging over 320 yards per game on the ground. Air Force has a versatile rushing attack, with six players having a least 100 yards rushing in a game this year, and Jacobi Owens leading the way 1,013 yards on the ground. While Cal will have little troubles scoring, I think Air Force at least keeps it close by using their rushing attack to keep the football away from the Golden Bears

Russell Athletic Bowl: #10 North Carolina (-3) v. #17 Baylor - Tuesday 5:30 p.m. - ESPN
What a run it was for North Carolina this year. After losing in the season opener to South Carolina, the Tar Heels won 11 straight games until they failed in their upset bid of Clemson in the ACC Championship Game. Marquise Williams had himself a season, throwing for 2,829 yards and 21 touchdowns, while adding 867 yards rushing and 11 touchdowns. Along with Williams, Elijah Hood was a monster at running back, rushing for 1,345 yards and 17 touchdowns.
Is there going to be anybody left to play in this game for Baylor? Biletnikoff Award winner Corey Coleman is out after hernia surgery, running back Shock Linwood isn't going to play, and quarterbacks Seth Russell and Jarrett Stidham are doing for the year. After dreams of the College Football Playoff earlier in the year, I think Baylor might not show up in this one, while North Carolina knows this would be a good win for a program that is getting stronger under Larry Fedora.

Arizona Bowl: Colorado State (-3) v. Nevada - Tuesday 7:30 p.m. - ASN
A bowl game pitting conference foes against each other. If that doesn't scream TOO MANY BOWLS, I'm not sure what does. Also I'm not even sure where to find this game. I hear it's on the American Sports Network but I don't even know what channel this is. Add in the Nevada was pissed they had to play in this game and didn't get to go to Orlando to playing in the Cure Bowl. Colorado State is going to win to cap off Mike Bobo's first year as head coach.

Texas Bowl: #20 LSU (-7.5) v. Texas Tech - Tuesday 9:00 p.m. - ESPN
So Leonard Fournette is going to run for a million billion yards here, right? Texas Tech is abysmal against the run so Fournette has to run for at least 500,000 yards in this game. I remember watching the Red Raiders give up a couple million yards on the ground to Oklahoma State earlier this year.
The spread is a little high for my normal tastes, especially when considering the Texas Tech offense that LSU has to defend. But I just think LSU is going to be able to run the ball at will against the Red Raiders, and they'll find the stops they need on defense. Somehow the Tigers score over 20 after four straight games of failing to do so.
