about dings. Anyone that feels the need to ding someone or credit someone, should, without hesitation, do so. However, if someone feels strongly enough about a post to ding or credit a person, they should, in my opinion, let the person know who it is from.

ONCE AGAIN I STRESS, THIS IS NOT A COMPLAINT ABOUT THE REP SYSTEM, merely a commentary on my part.

WRONG! That is complaining/whining about part of the system. This very issue has been previously discussed ad nauseum. If you don't like a certain aspect of the rep system, then turn it off. Otherwise, STFU.

Another thing for you to consider is to do a forum search before starting a rant thread such as this. If you really only want to provide commentary or share your opinion about some aspect of the forums, then either PM an admin or mod, or post your concerns in the admin forum.

This is really not a complaint. I understand that people feel the need to ding me from time to time, as well as credit my posts, I accept and enjoy the system .

ScarletisaVienna, I respect your right to ding my thread, that is what the system is for. I also appreciate that you signed your ding.

Donny, most of our Northern brethren will not understand the allusion here.

Vienna refers to, I'm assuming, Vienna Sausages...AKA Cocktail Wienies.

To add even more Southern flavor, please pronounce the name not as the Austrian city by as a rhyme of "hyena"...

I still get a kick out of Southerners explaining that one :biggrin:
