Thread of What You've Eaten, Cooked and/or Drunk Lately

Unbeknownst to me, my wonderful wife has planned a Memorial Day Grill out for 11 people (not including the four Woofs).

As she has been known to do, she has assigned me (without my consent) the task of coming up with the most important part of any grill out, the side dishes.

If any of you have any “go-to” side dish recipes you have in your cooking arsenal, I would be very grateful if you would share them.
I’ve done some light searching on the internet but most everything in “Cooking Light” or “All Recipes.com” has either

1). 47 ingrediants. I’m not trying to search all over the city for “Smoked tarragon”…etc
2). TONS of Mayo – which goes bad in the sun/heat and my wife hates.

Let me get home and I have good recipe for a crockpot. It has beans, sausage, and other shit. Super easy and everyone loves them.

We call this Patio Beans.

2lbs of hot sausage (browned), 2 lg cans of beans with onions (Bush's), 2 cans of kidney beans (drained and rinsed) add mustard (3-4 tablespoons) and ketchup (1/4 cup).
Put all in large crockpot--longer it sits the better

It is all to taste and sometimes we add Slap Ya Mama to it. Good luck.
