Let me start off by saying that I am a “The Glass is Half Full “ Kinda guy. ….
Especially where tOSU Football is concerned.<O:p</O:p

There are several reasons to be excited about this season.<O:p</O:p
First, we are back to being “OVERRATED” in the polls.<O:p</O:p
Another similar item is that we do not have the #1 target on our backs. While it was great to be there, everyone wants to beat #1, and I think we will sneak up on a few people.

NC State has expressed the opinion that we will get our butts kicked in their house, but that is only after Cinci and <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:City><ST1:pMarshall </ST1:p</st1:City>has handed us our hats in <st1:City><ST1:pColumbus</ST1:p</st1:City>.

Northwestern’s school paper has us as a probable W .... for them, and <st1:State>Iowa</ST1:p</st1:State> is certain that they will send us home with clean clocks. However, that is only missing the Wiscy team off of the first half of our schedule …and that is the one team I am most worried about from the first half.
Meanwhile, the Big Ten heats up for us in the second half of the season with <st1:State><ST1:pIndiana</st1:State>
<st1:State></ST1:p</st1:State>followed by <ST1:p<st1:City>Penn</st1:City> St, <st1:State>Mich</st1:State></ST1:p St, Poopoopurdue, and scUM.

So the thick of the Big Ten Teams are our last 4 games.
From what other teams on our schedule are predicting, we could have a perfect record heading into the last half of the season with 6 L’s on our record. Then if we get lucky and win half of our games, we could finish 3-8 or 4 -7 if we are really on a roll !!!!<O:p</O:p
My view is that we have a pretty good set up ……

While Cincy might be a test, I think JT has the Boys ready to play ….
I say we win that one …..<O:p</O:p
Next we get another local test …. <st1:City><ST1:pMarshall.</ST1:p</st1:City><O:p</O:p
While they are not a cup cake, they are also not SCum or scUM caliber either. <O:p</O:p
So we then head to a better team in <st1:Street><st1:address>NC St</st1:address></st1:Street>.<O:p</O:p

We are now into our third game, and our first road game.<O:p</O:p
tOSU should be able to have a few things down for our first big test.
This game will be pivitol to our season.<O:p</O:p
We are on the road against a highly regarded team. This is where we will make a big jump up in the polls. While this is a tough game, I think the Bucks come to play.<O:p</O:p
NC State thinks they will get revenge, and the home field advantage will make a close game a W for the home team …Not so fast my friends ….. this is tOSU.
I say we thank them for their hospitality, and head home.

Two mid level teams at home, But respectable enough to not get us too much grief for playing Cup Cakes. We also get to play at home …. Then we go on the road for a very respectable opponent.

How about getting into Big Ten play with one of the weakest teams in the conference starting with a bye week, and getting an always dangerous road game out of the way at the same time...

Against an Always dangerous team …. BUT AT HOME,

But I love the fact that our first true test is Wiscy as our first Big Ten Home game, and

So now we are sitting pretty …. 6-0 … and in the top 5.

Now to the home stretch ……. Four tough games …… How do we want them ?????

So if we have to play half on the road …let's travel to <st1:Street><st1:address>Mich St.</st1:address></st1:Street> and then to Pudue.<O:p</O:p

While I would prefer all teams at home … I would rather play these two away then to
play AT <st1:Street><st1:address>Penn St</st1:address></st1:Street> and AT scUM. We get the best deal possible.
