Speaking of other boards...

I went in search of some UC football fans online and came up pretty much empty.

The only one I found remotely active was Bearcatnews.com

These two at least had some August traffic Sucks Sucks II

I kinda miss all the Washington dickheads from last year over at BN. They were of the usual BOE(best offense ever) ilk-see WSU/UC/KSU/BGSU/UM etc- but at least their presence all summer made you realize football was near. I just can't believe how dead these UC sites are. If anyone actually knows an active one let me in on it.

ATHENS, Ga. -- Georgia linebacker Odell Thurman has been suspended for the first three games of the season for violating team rules.

Thurman will be allowed to practice, but will miss games against Georgia Southern, South Carolina and Marshall. The junior could return for the Oct. 2 game against LSU, a rematch of last year's Southeastern Conference championship game.

wow....make him sit out against chump1, 2, and 3 just in time to let him play for LSU. something makes me think if chump4 was after chump3, it wouldve been a 4 game suspension. and if LSU was after chump2 it wouldve been 2 games.

Not from the Texas board but I heard on sportsradio here in Austin that the 'Horns will be missing 3 guys from their D-Line (2 starters) for the season.

Junior DE Mike Williamswill miss the 2004 season for academic reasons, it was announced Monday. Meanwhile, oft-injured DE Bryan Pickrylmade it official that he will also miss his junior campaign. Combined with DE Chase Pittman'sdecision to transfer and Austin Sendlein's choice to give up football, Texas may want to consider placing an ad in the student newspaper for backups.

Georgia always plays OoC chumps. In the last ten years, the only non-conference BCS school they've played is home state rival, Georgia Tech. And Georgia Tech (excpet for the one fluke year) isn't exactly a football powerhouse.

Now that UGA is back into prominence (somewhat), I'd hope that they put someone halfway decent on that schedule. They have to be the favorites in the SEC this year with Tennessee and LSU at home. I still won't believe they're legit until they finally win at the Cocktail Party.
