Tiger Woods (Offical Thread)

I'll never understand why rich guys get DUIs. Call a cab, hire a limo...idiot.

it's almost as if alcohol impairs judgment.

That's true of all of us yet we don't all get DUIs.

If I'm a celebrity and I'm going out drinking, I'm not driving when I can afford to hire a driver. It's called thinking ahead.

Then again, this is Tiger Fuck-whatever-even-the-Dennys-waitress-when-married-to-a-model Woods. Thinking ahead really isn't his thing.

neither do all celebrities.

having worked around the uber-rich, it's rare to see a hired driver. and it's not as though rich people don't understand the risks of driving drunk. heck, i've worked and lived in jupiter. the whole west palm area is loaded with very wealthy people who drive inebriated after a night out. the restaurant, party, and night club scenes during the in-season are crazy. cruisers could even be parked outside of the countless golf clubs and cite every fifth car upon its departure. an after-round scotch or three?

anyway, whether you make $800 per week or $8,000,000 per year, there is no excuse for finding a safe way home.

Tiger Woods problem is he is always promoted himself as a wholesome family man and all around good guy. He lied about who he really was to everyone. It's been going on for years. He will most likely never come back from that.

not only that, but after his infidelities became public, he didn't really move past them and re-establish himself (or grow up apparently).

This guy's career is over. He can't even play the game at anything near the level he used to be able to do it, and now the personal incidents are occurring again.

If this isn't "rock bottom" for Tiger then I look forward to the eventual drug arrest for meth or some other opiate.

I guess at least with the whole wife/crashing the car thing there wasn't a mug shot.

Since he's not golfing, I don't know what sponsors he has left (I assume Nike). Hope he concentrates on golf now and tries to get healthy.
