And how many years playing a full season did it take for Manning to win that Super Bowl, that ONE Super Bowl. Manning chokes in playoff games. Tebow excels when the stakes are higher. Tebow has the highest QBR of all QB's in the league in the 4th quarter, where so much is on the line. Had Tebow been the QB for Broncos tonight, Denver would have won. Comparing someone who has played 15 full seasons to a 3rd year player who hasn't even been given the chance of playing as starter a full season is absurd.

I might be mistaken, but didn't Tebow have a phenomenal game in the divisional playoffs last year? Oh, he didn't? He went 9/26 for 136 yards passing and 13 yards on 5 carries with a QB rating of 52.7 and a QBR of 12.8. My mistake, I must be thinking of a QB who has won more than twenty games in his career and has more than one good playoff game to hang his hat on.

And what a ridiculous statement about Tebow winning tonight's game. Not only is that not true, Tebow wouldn't have had the Broncos in the playoffs this year which is saying something considering the state of the AFC West this season. Well, I might be wrong, but my statement has just as much basis in fact as yours does, which is to say: none whatsoever.

What's been the biggest obstacle in the stalling career of NFL quarterback Tim Tebow?

His college coach, Urban Meyer, traces Tebow's current state of limbo back to the firing of Josh McDaniels, the coach who drafted Tebow to the Denver Broncos in the first round three years ago.

"It's a great question," Meyer tells USA TODAY Sports. "I think that his coaching transition is a big part of it, with the guy that drafted him in the first round getting fired immediately. Then he goes to New York and that doesn't work out the way they envisioned."


That's for sure. The Jets are expected to trade or release Tebow this offseason after acquiring him last March and predicting he would take about 25% of starter Mark Sanchez's snaps. He took about 10% and completed six passes with 102 yards rushing.

So what's next? Where is the next stop for the former Heisman Trophy winning quarterback?

"I'm like anyone else," says Meyer, the former Florida and current Ohio State coach. "I'm just waiting to see what happens."

Did Meyer ever guess Tebow might find himself in this spot, three years into an NFL career?

"It is a surprise for me. He has a unique skill set. But I have faith in Tim, and I think it will work out."

I think it's pretty clear that he would've been--if I recall correctly, consensus was that he was a 3rd-5th round pick. I don't recall a lot of draft gurus claiming he wouldn't get taken at all.

I wonder if the Patriots would bring him in? Josh McDaniels is there, and Belichik loves to stick it to the Jets, when possible.
