“Bennett Christian was really the one talking to me the whole time,” Hayden said. “I’ve been talking to him, talked to CJ Hicks a lot and Kyion Grayes.”

Hayden’s older brother Chase is a senior at Illinois. Their father played at the University of Tennessee before a four-year career in the NFL. He is pleased with his second son’s decision.

“I just think the ability to be developed by Tony Alford and then the man and person Ryan Day is,” the elder Hayden said. “Quality people every where but Ryan Day is a rare breed in that profession and I think I’m qualified to say that with what I’ve been around.

“I think it was pretty obviously for everybody for them and for us how good a fit it was. We spent like two hours talking to Ryan Day about offense and Dallan’s skill set and what they do. How many head coaches would do that?

“Of course the academics, football and alumni network, but No. 1 the way they treat kids, whether it’s the starter, the fifth-string guy in the weight room, in the class room, of course on the field, and just how they’re concerned about developing the whole person, the whole young man I think it’s an elite program.”

CBHS 42, White Station 6: Dallan Hayden had a productive first half, scoring four touchdowns in the convincing Purple Wave victory. Hayden ended his night with 153 yards on 14 carries. The other offense for CBHS came courtesy of Jaxon Hammond, who caught a pair of touchdowns from Jack McLaughlin. White Station avoided the shutout with a 65-yard TD run in the second quarter.

In 2 games, Hayden has 395yds and 7TDs

Christian Brothers 48, PURE 20: Quarterback Jack McLaughlin was just one of several standouts for the host Purple Wave. McLaughlin threw for 259 yards and three touchdowns. Tailback Dallan Hayden rushed for 121 yards and three scores, while also catching a 50-yard TD pass. McLaughlin connected with Tyler Brimm and Sam Wallace too, and Whit Collard contributed a 50-yard TD run.

Not a bad night

I don't have his final stat line, but looks like he had 6 total TDs(5 rushing, 1 return) to go with 250+yds.
I'm not trying to start any rumors, but I don't think we have all of the RBs on the roster in 2021 in 2022. And Hayden can fill in great, looks like another special RB for Alford

Hayden is legit and probably a tad overlooked in this class. Throw him in with Henderson and Pryor, and the run game is going to continue to be nasty.
