Agree completely with your first sentence. The rest really hasn't worked any better for UT than the Yankee version of it has for UM. Cutting out what isn't essential and focusing on ridding UT of its sense of entitlement and instilling some toughness into the program might be a better approach. To the extent that Twitter is necessary for recruiting these days, get some grad assistant with lower IQ, higher EQ, and thicker skin than Mensa to ghost tweet.
