This Gridiron Kings thing is really blocking a lot of potential recruits from FNL...not a fan.

This kid sounds like this kid will be a tough pull from LSU.

Agreed and that is a big bummer. At least we will have plenty of Buckeyes down at Gridiron Kings recruiting for us...you cannot escape Urban's forces .

Understand the sentiment, but I look at it quite differently. I think it is an excellent opportunity for charismatic and willing recruiters like Woodard, Elliott, and Burrows to work on other high profile recruits like they were at The Opening. In fact, I would not be at all surprised to learn that Meyer and staff strongly encouraged their attendance at Gridiron Kings.

Back to Brown...

Back to Brown...

I agree with this. If urban really wanted them at FNL I believe they would be there.(see, Marshall, Woodyard, etc..) It almost seems that Ohio St. has a focused group of player recruiters there by design while coaches at OSU are focused on certain players attending FNL both in the 2013 and 2014 class.

Texas DB has a Clemson offer

By Phil Kornblut
Clemson is one of 27 offers for DB Tony Brown of Beaumont, TX. Brown plays corner and safety and can also play receiver. Some of his other offers are Alabama, Texas, LSU, Texas A&M and Florida. "All the schools recruiting me have a chance," said Brown. "I look at all of them the same." Brown said he doesn't have a lot of information at this point. "I know they have a good offense,' he said, "but I don't know much about their defense." He was going to visit Clemson last summer but didn't make it, and he might visit this summer. Brown said he will not make an early decision and will go thru the entire recruiting process. He does not have a favorite.
