That's impressive that VLC can even play an incomplete file! Martinss - if you're still having this problem after you download 100%, you may have memory issues (as in not enough of it). These VOB files take up a lot of memory to watch and if your computer is a bit elderly, you may want to upgrade the RAM.

Reason #4,023 why VLC rocks. It can, in fact, do everything.

right, so a program that downloads chunks of data for a single file from multiple peers simultaniously might actually require the download to be complete for it to play the entire file seemlessly? yep, im an idiot.

mrmozambique, oddly enough yes. and surprisingly enough while your physically downloading that torrent. it was pulling them down in multiple .vob files and 2 of the 3 (.vob1 & .vob2) were the same size files so i was thinking perhaps it finished one file then moved on to the next one. apparently thats less than accurate.

now that the dl is complete it is working perfectly. :)

I have tried and tried to get the Torrents to work, and finally some success with the 2007 PSU game -- but can't get any of the other games.

My Conclusion: Great concept -- but takes way too much time. Secondly, could never get the Burn right to play on my Panasonic DVD Player. Thus... I WANT TO PURCHASE the following DVDs for 2007 Football Season Games:
2007 - OSU vs. Youngstown State
2007 - OSU vs. Kent State
2007 - OSU vs. Akron

Please PM me if you know where I can buy these 3 Games -- I have already sourced the PSU and Illinois 2007 Games. Thanks.:osu:

thread titles

If the torrents are uploaded within a day of their respective game, could thread titles please not include the score of the game until a week later or so? These torrents might be the only chance I get to see the game, some weeks of the season.

Spoilers should be banned!

I concur 100%. It's a bad practice to post the scores of the games. I don't know of any other site that does this. I'm not sure why we do. I even tried to post a torrent w/o the spoiler and someone posted the score in my thread right after I posted the game? WTF?

What if I bought a DVD and the back cover gave away the ending? Sixth Sense, a spooky thriller where you think that Bruce is a living being that is trying to help this kid that sees dead people when in fact Bruce himself is dead the whole time. The great thing about this film is that you don't find out about this until the end! Buy it now! NOT!

I think it should be BP policy to leave off the spoilers, particularly for those that live outside the USA and will depend heavily on BP to view the 2008 season.

Admins?? Please? I'm begging!

This makes sense for the new games. For this year we won't post the score in the thread title. I think the DVD authors would agree with me on this one. There will still be a link to an ESPN game recap for people who want to see the stats and play-by-play.

However, if you're on here a few days after the game, it might be tough for you not to get some sense of the outcome!

Maybe we can make a spoiler-free link somehow...

I don't care if we post scores or not, I'd just like to try and be uniform. It does make sense that recent games shouldn't have those posted.

Consistency is good, Clarity. Perhaps we could include a link to a game recap or (god forbid) create two fields for score of OSU vs. Opponent and keep them hidden by default. Even for games I know tOSU won (or lost) I don't like to know the score. It really is a better practice to leave off the scores in my opinion. I don't know of any other site that does this as a general practice.
