tOSU -9.5 at Illinois (ov/un 124.5) Tue 9 ET, ESPN

If this was the Indiana officiating crew, both teams would be in the bonus.

Hard to play in a conference when game by game the officiating changes. Oh well, at least they arent lopsided referees.

Good to see the 3 pointers going down. Thomas and Sullinger are doing just about whatever they want. Illinois is shooting very well so hopefully the defense stays sharp and we go on a nice run and put them away early in this second half.

Yep! Love it!

I often wonder why teams are always in such a hurry to inbound the ball late in the half.

Good lord. This is a fucking rugby game.
Thought the same for awhile as well.

Very surprised it isn't taught at a school like Wisconsin for an entire gameplan. I thought Bo Ryan would be all over this. Every made basket by the opposing team could waste a solid 8 seconds until under 1 minute in the second half. You're talking about shortening the game by 2-3 minutes maybe.

Maybe LeBrick. Still I don't think he could hang with the swimmers, much less the sprinters.

And none of those could sniff him on a court. The question remains does being great in one sport make you a great athlete?

Probably a discussion better left to another thread but there are some very valid points that those two guys are great athletes not just great basketball players.

sibert with 0 minutes..not sure if matta is benching him for a certain reason, or if he doesnt like sibert defensively against illinois...either way i like the fact that thompson and spoony came in pretty early in the game...we are obviously 50 times more athletic on the floor when they are both in, and there is no reason we should ever be out-rebounded by anyone in the big 10 with them 2 on the floor...and as ive said a million times i prefer thompson over sibert...sibert to me is nearly a one dimesnional player whos defense is inferior to thompsons

Again skills =/= athleticism.
