Game Thread tOSU at Cal Bears, Sep 14, 7 ET, Fox

Correct, the Buckeyes stopped them on 4th down at the 7.

However, I think the point was more that we missed a big play, could have easily been 7 more for the Buckeyes.

actually my opion for what it is worth osu left at least 14 to 21 points on the field could've been no worse 64-34 maybe 70 I do agree with u people giving up 34 is a lot but at least they left no doudt who was the better team think if they wanted to score another td on there last drive they could've

Somebody has to knock off Oregon for tOSU to get to the title game, so it might as well be Cal, esp since we already beat them so we don't have to worry about who the Oregon killer will then lose to.

I'm not so sure...I could easily see Bama losing a game and I'm not sure a one-loss Bama goes over undefeated OSU or Oregon. I think if we take care of business, we play for the crystal ball and that is all we can do anyways.

As for the screens, UFM calls it a lack of "triggering" which is when the corner reads the screen and gets to that area quickly. Roby made the tackle on the example he gave but so long as the corner disrupts the blocking and reroutes/slows down the pass catcher, it gives the defense time to get to him. The issue was that they caught the ball and ran unabated right into the screen blocking pocket. Honestly, that is a schematic adjustment we simply did not make...easily fixable.

Unfortunately, you can bet your bottom dollar that if a one-loss Alabama team is the SEC champion, they will be in the national title game. Hell, I thought Robert Smith was going to get into a fist fight with Todd McShay during the halftime report this past weekend when McShay vehemently insisted that even a two-loss SEC champion should be in the national title game over an undefeated Ohio State.
