tOSU at Illinois, November 28th, Cancelled

Says who? They wouldn’t do that just for Ohio State, I’d think.

Big Ten said it awhile ago:

"A team must play at least six games to be considered for participation in the championship game.
However, if the average number of conference games played by all teams falls below six, with the average
rounded up/down at .50 (i.e. 6.50 or greater would round up to 7, 6.49 or less would round down to 6),
then teams must play no less than two fewer conference games than the average number of conference
games played by all teams (i.e. four games played if the conference average is six) to be considered"

Honestly who cares.... go ahead and let them try to pin a champion due to OSU not playing. IU would beat NW and do you think for a minute they'll feel good about being champions knowing we allowed them to crawl back into a game that was at one point 35 to 7?

Everyone knows who the best is in the big ten and if another team wants to pretend to be champions then more power to them. Because everyone including the team that wins it will know they didn't win shit.

I care. Clearly we are the best in the big ten, but I don't think 4 or 5-0 without a conference title get us in the playoffs which is my main concern.

Right now, I am in beat the Northern Hairballs mode. Whatever happens after that, happens.
We MUST not miss an opportunity to pile up wins against them. PERIOD.

Same. This is just so fucking stupid and I'm not even trying to make sense of anything. I just want to brutalize Hairball and after that, I don't even give a shit if there's another game.

Here's to ya! Last sip of brandy in the glass. I'm still rough around the edges and drink from a shotglass.

I'll cheers to that. I'm pulling out some Blanton's and can't claim superiority on glassware. Hopefully we can beat the ever living hell out of the team up north and if we get that chance (Jim Tressel once corrected me that this outcome is not a guarantee and must be earned... I'll tell the story if people want to hear it, we have time)... then maybe this year isn't a waste.

With ya and would love to hear the story after that win.
No year is bad when there's a rivalry win.

Then I'll save the story and just give the footnote. I asked JT how many days until we beat ttun and he says "beating *ichigan is a privilege and we spend every day getting ready for it." The guy treated every Game like the Super Bowl and I'm with him.

Edit: Class of 2011

Huh? Why would it be canceled if the situation is reversed? The situation we actually have is what calls for uncertainty. You have players positive. You have at least one coach positive. And you have several others who could be infected AND contagious but tested negative BECAUSE of that lag time. So you could be going into this game - heck onto an hour flight - with several contagious people you don’t know about. And we will know a lot more than we know now in a week. That’s why you cancel the game. So you have a better chance - not a guaranteed chance - to contain it.

All moot now, but I was speaking toward the leverage each team has. Obviously the big ten is more invested in OSU’s season.
