Game Thread tOSU at Nebraska, Sat October 8, 2011, 8 pm ET, ABC

If you look at our schedule next year, it's actually pretty favorable to get to the Big Ten Championship Game. Michigan State, Wisconsin, and Penn State at home. This is the ONE game that is scary...

I see no reason why we can't make it to the Big Ten Championship though. Maybe it will be a rematch. I think if we get to the CCG it would be either againt MSU, Nebraksa, or maybe Michigan. So in all three cases, that would be a rematch. I don't see Minnesota, Northwestern, or Iowa there.

I think we sweep our division opponents, meaning that unless we lose 2 Big Ten games, we will be in the CCG. So the way I see it, we are going to have to beat somebody twice to go undefeated...and my money is on Nebraksa. It's going to be a tough year to go 13-0, but if we do nobody could say shit about our SOS.

Depending on what happens in the bowls, it's likely that the Big Ten will have 4 teams in the top 10 to start the year. So if you lay out our schedule, assuming we go to the Big Ten championship game, we likely will have 4 games against top 10 teams. It's going to be afun year!

Beat me to it. If the kid wasn't losing 5 yards or throwing a pick, he was fumbling. Maybe that was an unsual game for him, but color me underwhelmed.

What do you think tickets will go for on the street for the 2012?

500?
1000?

In the 90's, when we played ND, iirc the prices were pushing the $1000 mark. That was, however, a one time thing, not a new conference member. I would guess north of $500 though...

Martinez = Tackling Dummy.

He has no pocket awareness. None. At all.

The promising thing is that Shawn Watson, one of two holdovers from the Billy Callahan/Steve "PeteyShine" era is no longer the offensive coordinator.

Tim Beck, onetime passing game coordinator at Kansas (who hung 70 on us back a few years ago in our bottom of the barrel era) and former running backs coach is now the offensive coordinator.

We've actually got a few freshman that could unseat Martinez as the starter, if he doesn't get his head outta wherever it was for the 2nd half of the season last year.

A Nebraska website has stated that this will be a prime time game on ABC/ESPN.

I've updated the thread title assuming a kickoff shortly after 7 pm in Lincoln (8 ET).
