Game Thread tOSU at Nebraska, Sat October 8, 2011, 8 pm ET, ABC

I've seen that posting on a Husker site about the evening game, but I can't verify it anywhere. Not sure how accurate that report is, but a national TV audience at night would be very suitable for this game.

Nebraska's trip to Wisconsin for its first-ever Big Ten Conference game will be the first meeting between the Huskers and Badgers since a 1974 game in Madison. Nebraska leads the all-time series 3-2, including a 1-1 record at UW's Camp Randall Stadium.

The Huskers' Big Ten home opener against Ohio State will also kick off at 7 p.m. at Memorial Stadium. The game will be Ohio State's first-ever trip to Lincoln and just the third all-time meeting between the two college football powers. Look for me on TV. I'll be the one wearing red, screaming his ass off.

Don't you think it has more to do with the overall brand of the Big Ten increasing in value with the addition of Nebraska and a CCG? Not to get all puffed-up here, but I'd say it has more to do with that than with the troubles.

Agreed. But I don't care either way. Primetime is primetime. And I fucking love, LOVE the fact that we get Bulimia and co. at night in OUR house. :oh:

Are they showing the game at the Rococo for your fans who don't have tickets? I thought they had the game simulcasted there most times, but my memory is a little fuzzy. It's been a while since I've missed a home game.

The Rococo is a decent enough joint. It's an old theater with the art deco stuff you'd expect from a building of that era. You guys should enjoy yourselves. That also puts you right in the heart of the downtown bar scene if you're interested.

I notice your Bash goes until 6:30. I would strongly recommend heading to the game by 6pm. If you wait until 6:30 you're going to miss the first few minutes of the game. You'll have to walk from the theater to the stadium, approximately ten minutes away, and there'll be quite a large crowd around the stadium to wade through.

If anyone here is connected to this event you may want to consider wrapping things up before 6:30. Just a hint.
