Game Thread tOSU at Penn State - Oct 27th, 5:30 ET, ESPN

He's going to throw the ball in the flats and on the outs all game long.

This a thousand times over. And if our back 7 consistently miss tackles because they're trying to blow up every play like the second coming of Jack Tatum, we will lose. If they play well disciplined defense and stay within their limitations, I think we give up some points but win by a dozen.

They're playing better than anybody else in the B10 right now.

based on games against Illinois, Northwestern and Iowa.

Their OOC wins were vs Navy and Temple.

Our defense solves the riddle of the fucking bubble screen and PSU is in trouble. Their OL hasn't faced a DL anywhere near the caliber of ours and their whole offense falls apart with pressure on McMoxie (who is still McMoxie).

I know its a hostile environment and all but I'm just not buying what the media is selling on PSU right now. If they can do it against the caliber of athlete OSU puts on the field I will admit I was wrong, until then I think they are being way over hyped.

Our defense is made to stop this kind of offense, imo.

No more "spread HD". They are not explosive. That should help. And McGlovin is not going to be able to do 5 step drops against us. He'll get hit.. a lot. Defense has gotten better but the offense needs to help.
We need a total team effort. No botched kicks or coverage.
This will be more like the MSU game.

Unless our DBs are playing 9 yards off the guy and back-pedaling for another 4. Then it'll be 3 and 5 step drops all damned day.

Bluestone O'Ballsacky isn't like the other OC's we see in College Football. If he sees something that works, he's going to run it 1000 fucking times or until it's stopped two times in a row.

If the short passes are working, McLovin might throw it 80 times on Saturday.

Northwestern put 28 on them and they are most like our offense. Of course Northwestern/s defense was/is very bad, probably much worse than ours. Especially in pass defense where they looked lost in several games.
It will be close either way. I like are talent better. :oh:

I'm really excited for this game. Any time our team travels there, I get really hyped. We've performed pretty well there over the last few years and it's always fun to [Mark May] on their biggest recruiting event of the season.

the 2007 beatdown was a rather fun one to watch. Boeckman sliced and diced their secondary
