Game Thread tOSU at Wisconsin, Sat, Oct 16, 7:00 ET; ESPN

Growing up in Ohio, I used to hear people refer to a long period of time as a "month of Sundays". I haven't heard that phrase in a very long time, but it came to mind as I pored over some numbers this morning.

On October 16th, as the Buckeyes take the field at Camp Randall, the Wolverines will be celebrating their 365th week without a victory in The Game.

So it hasn't been a month of Sundays. It will have been a year of Saturdays.

That's awesome DBB but this game is really going to be on ESPN2??? Or am I reading it wrong?

This game is going to be huge...

Also Colvinni, the Wisconsin fans are the WORST. I hate them when they come to Columbus. They were trying to talk [censored] about the National Championship even after we beat their ass one year. I was like we're number 5 in the country, have fun at number 5 in the Big Ten.

I'm pretty sure that this reads as ESPN / 2 or regionally this will be on either ESPN or ESPN2 depending home markets.

Yes - it will be on one or the other, in the same way as if we had typed ABC/ESPN. The title will get changed at some point if it's announced that it will be on one or the other nationally.

Taylor to undergo surgery; will miss UNLV game

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Wisconsin outside linebacker Mike Taylor will undergo a second surgery on his right knee and will miss at least the season-opener against UNLV.

Coach Bret Bielema made the announcement during the Badgers annual media day on Sunday.

Taylor originally had to undergo reconstructive surgery on the knee after he ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament last season against Iowa.

Bielema did not specify the nature of the new injury, but he said Taylor will undergo surgery on Tuesday after re-injuring the knee late last week.
He's expected to miss two to four weeks.

Bielema also announced that junior guard Kevin Zeitler injured a leg during Saturday's intrasquad scrimmage. He could be out for a week.

Wiscy is 4-5 against us over the last nine games, including 3-1 in their first four games against JT (caveat: we've won the last three game to put JT at 4-3 against Wiscy).

Painful numbers to say the least... Alvarez had Wiscy at the program's apogee for his last few years at the helm. Unfortunately, this coincided with the deterioration at the end of the Cooper years and the early Tressel program-building years.

Now however, it is Bielema who is the unfortunate one. Even if he maintains Wiscy at the level reached by Alvarez, it won't translate to the same level of conference success with the Tressel machine running at full speed.
