Game Thread tOSU at Wiscy, Nov 17th, 3:30 ABC

Let me ask this: would OSU fans be more nervous about this game if Stave were playing?

As a fan...no nerves. ever. The starting QB out for the game can definitely boost confidence but more nervous about actually losing if Stave were the starter? Not. One. Bit.

No bullshit. This wiscy team reeks of stale bologna and their fuck stick coach gets nothing in terms of respect from this fan. My hope is that he's so distraught after watching the Buckeyes kick the shit out of his team for 60 minutes that during the post game presser he starts sobbing uncontrollably like a little fucking bitch.

That is all.

If Wiscy struggled to run the ball against Nebby and Sparty I can't see them running to well against us. Not sure at all how good their defense is but I doubt they will "stop" our offense any better than Nebraska did.

Im heading up to the game, and wanted to know what the best tailgate/bar options are?
Basically the whole area around CR is a tailgate area, although the space is limited. You're probably better off hitting up the bars. Stadium Bar is right across from CR and has a large outdoor area for people to drink/eat. Along Regent Street are a ton of options. Jordan's Big 10 Pub is a pretty good spot, as is Lucky's Bar and Grille. I've never been to Regent Street Retreat before, but I hear it's pretty lively on game days. After the game, most people usually head to State Street, and you should have no trouble finding bars there. Have a good trip!

I'm heading up to Madison for the game, first time in town. Any other recommendations? We are looking at hotels, ideally close to where we will be consuming most of the weekend. Is getting something in the general location of State Street the way to go? Any other advice for a first time visitor?

My advice would definitely be to stay as close to campus as possible. There isn't a lot to do when you start getting away from the campus area. Pregaming is easy to find. There are bars across from the stadium. State Street is walkable from the stadium and every other building on State Street is a bar. I am going to the game as well and we are staying at The Sheraton, which is a couple miles from the stadium. It's not super expensive, its an easy cab ride to campus etc, and it's in a pretty cool area right on one of the 2 big lakes there.

Hotels that close this late in the process might be a little dicey, particularly if you're looking for one near the stadium district. I would recommend the DoubleTree on West Johnson Street, but that's probably booked out. You can keep calling to see if some rooms have opened up though. Almost all hotels in Madison are booked out for up to 2 years on fall Saturdays. Your best bet is probably something out on the edge of town, like the Howard Johnson on East Washington Ave.

I'm sure you'll find something, it might just be a little further out than what you might have hoped.

Anyone have a clip of Dontez Sanders & Co in 2004 showing the real reason Wisconsin is hated in Columbus?
Don't forget about this one:

If Braxton can put up numbers in the passing game, I think this game will be over quickly (fingers crossed special teams). But he has seldom been able to do that this year. That Illinois game really showed some glimmer of Troy Smith in him, and I'm optimistic that he can develop to be just as good of a drop back passer as Smith if not better.

We are able to to be 10-0 thus far, but I think some point down the line (looking onto next season) Braxton needs to show that he is a true "dual threat QB" by being able to throw a little more consistently.
