...where the OSU Marching Band showed up tonight and played a surprise concert for him on his front lawn. Jim Davidson got some photos (haven't seen them yet though) and we recorded the whole thing. Andy conducted the fight song, and Dr. Woods said they were working on trying to put somehting togehter so that Andy could play his saxaphone with the band next season.

Ditto!

Andy has done alot for the university. It's one of the great academic and athletic institutions and Andy has alot to do with it.
Ditto & Ditto. Some reporter in Dayton (I think) said on "The Fan" that he was glad that AG is gone..in fact he said AG should have been fired. When asked why he thinks that way, his reply was that he was not the only one as he said "ESPN and the New York Times also agreed with him about AG...what an idiot!

Great shots from the "zone." That put immediate goosebumps on my fat ass.

What an incredible gesture. Andy will always be one of the all-time "good guys" in Intercollegiate Athletics. He looked incrdibly composed in those shots. I, on the other hand, would have been crying like a baby.

That's one of the most awesome things I've ever seen!

I know it's not something that happens very often, but I think if there's anybody out there that deserves to be an honorary i-dotter, it's Andy Geiger.

How 'bout on national TV, against Texas? ...And ESPN, ABC, and the Times can all come and hear just what 106,000 Buckeye fans think of this man.

I really enjoyed getting to play tonight for Andy Geiger. This was actually somewhat of a continuation of a tradition of the band. The band has done similar things in the past for strong supporters of the band, whom the band really loved, when they have left the university. The last time it was done was for Coach Bruce after his firing. I thought it was really cool to get to take part in this tradition and honor Geiger. He has done a lot for the band in his time here and really has a great appreciation for the arts. Because of Mr. Geiger we have arguably the finest facilities of any band in the country, and we receive a great deal of support from the athletic department. The band was already together tonight to practice parade marching for the presidential inaugural parade next thursday, and we just jumped on some buses and headed over to his neighborhood. When he got up on the podium to conduct geiger gave the band a cool little speach, and this will definitely be a night I remember.
