Game Thread tOSU @ Maryland, Oct 4th @ 12pm ET, ABC

I want to go to this game.

Need advice - anybody been out that way? Where do I stay?
The school is just off a major Baltimore - DC beltway. Getting a room near the stadium should not be a problem. There are a ton of motels at every intersection. About an 8 hour drive from cincinnati using 32 to Parkersburg, 50 to clarksberg and then interstates to College Park.

Give yourself plenty of time getting there on Friday. Traffic in that area sucks hard.

As Cinci said, there are plenty of hotels, but book now so you're closer (and get to avoid traffic, etc etc).

If you take the time to go sight-seeing in DC, avoid the Southeast part unless you have an infantry squad and/or a tank.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that the Balto - DC "driving peak" begins at 2:30 on Friday and runs... er crawls... until 9 - 9:30. If you want to sight see DC, the Metro runs from College Park to downtown. It beats fighting DC traffic and parking and is relatively inexpensive. Don't know if the new Silver line will be open by fall, but if it is it will take you out to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum next to Dulles. Incredible collection of WWII aircraft and NASA exhibits that they don't have room for in the DC. Warning, some Metro stations have parking (paid) some don't. Google it before you go. Since I drive in the DC, East Coast area two or three times a year I got an EZ Pass. Yeah, you give them a $20 deposit in perpetuity, but it saves you a good deal of time and much of the newer construction on the beltways - including HOV lanes - is now toll roadway. Pass is also useful on trips to Chicago and on the WVA and PA Turnpikes. You can turn the pass device back in and get your 20 back.

Wife and I have never been to DC so we actually decided to fly. Flying into Baltimore thursday night, taking the train down to DC and staying near Capitol Hill. Should have all day to explore DC Friday, before heading up to college park Saturday. I don't have a hotel for Saturday yet because I wasn't sure when the game would start.

Chances are that it'll be a noon or 3:30 game, right? If it were a night game, I'd expect it to have been announced by now.

Actually, it's a couple of miles north of the Washington DC beltway. Are you thinking of the Baltimore-Washington Parkway?

Also - I would take 70 E to 79 South (at Washington, PA) to 68 E to 270 S
