Yep, it's goaltending if it already hit the glass no matter if it's traveling up or down. We somehow got away with two in the same game.

Had to prove this to myself. This is from the NCAA rulebook:

Art. 3.
When the entire ball is above the level of the ring during a field-goal
try and contacts the backboard, it is considered to be on its downward flight.
In such a case, it is goaltending when the ball is touched by a player.


The ball was not above the level of the rim when it contacted the backboard, but did continue up where Scott blocked it before it started its descent. Not goaltending in my opinion.

Aside from the last minute when both teams did almost everything wrong, this was the best played OSU-NW game in quite some time. No more of the stall ball for 20 seconds every possession from the Wildcats, they finally play some decent basketball.
