If those 4 were in, there'd be no room for Akers... Which I'd honestly be fine with if we retained Dobbins

Same...not sure on numbers but if that is the case, then absolutely. Could you imagine going to Texas and taking Dobbins, Okudah, Browning and Wilson? Yikes. I am very mullish on Wilson as of now but Okudah is all but a done deal and I would give us the classic "50.1%" odds with Browning.

Thought this was a great time to stop and consider the spot this staff is in with regards to recruiting.

'17 class sits at......17 and there isn't one single glaring hole that I can see as far as need. The class is absolutely stacked with high level talent and the staff is near the top of the list for a nice variety of prospects to round out the class.

How many more can they add? Who should they add? It all depends on which players the staff feels will declare early IMO and how some of the really young pups develop during the back half of the season and bowl practice.

To me this determines a whole lot. For instance--does Antonio Williams flash? Will Malik and Latimore each return? Etc. Etc.

So while the staff weighs all of these things, they are sitting on a legendary class and are in tight with a variety of absolute studs to pick from to close out.

And that's the truth. From this point forward it isn't recruiting with the '17 class. It is selecting. Simply incredible.

And what about the '18 class. It sits on 2 players at the top, both playing very pivotal positions at QB and RB.

This staff is defining what it means to be in the cat bird seat.

All great points. This class is jaw dropping, just by the size and quantity. The finish will be the most interesting because it seems everyone who guesses is reaching for straws because no one truly knows. Yet we all know it'll be some fireworks to end this class. And the momentum is sure to boil over into the 2018 class

Pretty sure Bama has it defined with 6 years of consecutive #1 classes.
There's a difference between a #1 class and a class rated as highly as this one (various point systems). I've heard this class will in all likelyhood be the highest scoring since recruiting point systems came into vogue. So yes, Bama's streak of #1's is impressive and should be something to strive for but what tOSU is doing is breaking new ground.
