I may be in the minority here, but I hope we keep Jones, but he's not a make or break in this class. I much rather get the dominant DL(Smith and Oweh) and OL(Carman and Walker) than worry about Jones staying. NCs are won in the trenches, and I fully believe that Martell could be a future star and that Jones is more a luxury, IMO than necessity

Would you have thought the same thing if it had happened with JT in the 2013 class?

Different circumstances. 2013 didnt have close to the level of commits on both lines that 2018 can possibly close with. I'd be fine with not having JT if that meant we would've signed multiple players from OL and DL that were ranked in the top 10.

JT was the entire depth chart after Braxton. Kenny played above his ability a few times, but that was not expected on paper when Barrett was in HS.
Emory will battle Tate for the right to be 2nd string behind Haskins (or Burrow, with the loser likely transferring).
Most likely they backup Dwayne through 2019 barring injury, and fight for a starting spot in 2020, at which point rs Jr Martell, rs So Jones and rs Fr [2019 signee] will battle it out for the premiere QB position in the league.
