2018 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

Nope, not mistaken Campbell, MCLaurin and Dixon all were in the same class and all redshirted! How's that for field stretching speed, returning! Experienced deep threats galore at Haskins disposal, I smell some big plays coming!

Wow, didn't realize that!
I assume Dixon could be gone because of his injury history, but that would still leave us with Campbell, McLaurin and Hill to stretch the field.
(Bringing this back to the recruiting thread)Babb and Brown would be a welcome addition, and a good balance to the size brought in, in 2017

This seems as good a place as any to say that I’m more interested in things the rating services miss than ever before. Intangibles like toughness, willing to compete, heart. And being from Ohio.

I know talent can’t be ignored and you must recruit nationally these days. But I’ll never forget getting our asses HANDED to us by Iowa and a bunch of players not looking at their university as mearly a stepping stone to the league. I’ve had my fill with that mentality.
Yea! Similar to what Bama does in focusing heavily on and prioritizing Alabama kids OSU needs to do the same with Ohio kids!

More like 6'4, 240 lol

Yup, his 247 has him at 6’5” 250.

Have seen some listings for him in the LAX world at 6’1” and a bit north of 200 so I guess YMMV. That said, I think he’s taking a year between HS and college and may have grown a bit. The LAX stuff I was seeing was from when he committed to Cuse so it could have been a while ago. They did mention size 14 cleats so those paws on a youngster could suggest that he may have grown a bit. But yeah, he’ll need to spend time with S&C to fill out. I have to guess that he’s not much different body-wise than Sammy was coming out of HS. FWIW, his HS lacrosse footage shows good feet and agility. Just need to bulk him up a bit and show him how to be disruptive with his hands.

AFAIAC, this would be a double win. Take one off the field in spring for Cuse and put one on the field for us in fall.
