That WR class would be ridiculous.

I believe Jaxon Smith-Njigba is in the top 100 now, no? Didn’t he just get a huge bump?

I think OL, DB and WR position groups ALL will be historically good in this class. OL NEEDS to be. Can't have many misses there or that becomes the kink in the armor that derails the consistent 11-2 (or better) -type seasons we are accustom to every fall in Columbus.

Surprised no new "elite" names emerging at DT, TE, LB and even DE. Been quiet.

Its still very early. With a lot of new coaches, those guys need to do A LOT of relationship building to get the "elite" names talking more publicly. OSU still is a name brand, but Day at the helm is much different than Meyer running the show. This quiet time won't last for long though, as in many articles and quotes from players, they're seeing the time that guys like Hafley, Washington, and Hartline are putting in to scour the country, but they still have no clue what the product on the field will resemble.

I agree. I think it goes without saying, that the 2019 on-field product will go a long way in shaping this class. Like in most years, where you can really "ride the momentum", I think it is especially true this year with so many new coaches in place. I think a successful season under Day in his 1st yr eases a lot of tension, anxiety, and answers a lot of the questions for recruits and fans alike.

That class is half Alabama, half Michigan.

Overall, it would be Ohio State's best class ever, with 319.19 total points according to 247 Composite. By way of comparison, the Class of 2018 had 317.06 total points; the Class of 2017 had 312.14 total points; and the (underrated) Class of 2013 had 304.82 total points.

In terms of average per recruit, that hypothetical class would be .9345, which would trail the Class of 2017 (.9459) and the Class of 2018 (.9429); would edge out the Class of 2013 (.9314); and would be right in line with the running four-year average (.9315).

It's strange to think that Ohio State could sign four of the top five players in Arizona, a state which hasn't produced a Buckeye since 1996 (QB Joe Germaine and DT Joe Brown).

Obviously a great class, but I'd still like to see one more bona fide stud on the OL (Geirean Hatchett or Turner Corcoran or Roger Rosengarten); and I'm sure that we need two tight ends.

I don't know who might emerge, but I could easily see another 1-2 OL on that list.

Obviously, that would mean deleting a name or two off bc I don't see a class of 29 coming to Columbus next yr..... and I wouldn't want to see anyone removed from that list with all of them being strong candidates to be a part of this class.

Guaranteed one or two remove themselves... just nature of recruiting.
Looking forward to on field product this year.
