2020 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

Could be a "Super Soph" type of class. Except some frosh will play. Methinks that much depends on whether UFM a) stays; b) leaves tOSU in good hands; c) whether the coaching staff is in dissention (too many chief, all fighting for control). Here's hoping that all will work out well/properly. Go Bucks!

There will be some coaching changes. Schiano and Wilson likely gone after this year. Davis could be. That will cause some stir. If day is gone that will really mess us up though.

I love all the recruits coming out and saying they are all still on board.

The concern I have is that the majority have been on the offensive side of the ball, which you would expect with the relationship they already built with Day in recruiting them.

My concern is the defense and continuing to recruit at a high level, getting the silver bullets back to where they need to be. Can Day salvage the '19 class on the defensive side and continue to bring in top-end talent defensively?

I think the #1 draft pick in the 2019 draft will help along with Dremont cracking the 1st round. The good news is the cupboards are far from bare. With the right coaching adjustments, a softish 2019 schedule and some player development we’ll have a good product on the field again next year to help rebuild momentum on the defensive side of recruiting.

What recruiting guru here will calculate what the 24/7 ratings of this year's class would be if Justin Fields (using his rating coming out of HS) was a part of it?
Ohio State's current 247 Composite rating is 257.35 with sixteen recruits (the 15 signees plus Doug Nester), which is good for #12 in the nation.

Adding Justin Fields would bring the class rating to approximately 270.65, which would be #9 in the nation.

Would that happen, seeing as Fields in an '18 recruit and should retroactively count to our '18 class?
