The 247 Composite class score would be 302.19 (using the current prospect ratings, which are periodically updated).

That would be a top-6 class for sure, probably top-4 behind Clemson, Georgia, and Alabama, and just ahead of LSU and Texas.

The transfer portal is here to stay, and QBs will be in it all the time - including our own recruits.
I think Fields will be rare, but so will being able to hold onto Burrow, Baldwin, Tate as backups.
The landscape has drastically changed since Guiton or winning an NC with 3rd string.
Hoak, Chugunov will be the type of backups we get (excepting a QB-in-waiting last 1-2 seasons of current guy).
The benefit of taking 2 is developing both and probably holding onto the best. But this also includes the 2021 class.
A 2021 guy probably isnt staying around if a 2020 guy is QB for 3 years.
In the modern setup, QB recruiting never stops... even after NLOID... everyone will need transfers. QB is the most transfer prone position by a wide margin.

Also makes it more likely that kids will take on the qb battle and sign where there is already a highly ranked qb committed. They know they can easily transfer if they lose. All for it. I also don’t think it will be difficult to get them to sit a year, 2 years gets harder and 3 will be impossible.

Same and I think we can get him... he’s still in line to visit for PED I believe.

What’s everyone’s take of our QB room after Justin leaves. Can anyone we have coming give us what we are seeing now? Recruits like Fields don’t come around often but I’m a little worried about getting the ball to these special skill players we keep bringing in.

The good news is that we have Fields for at least 2 years. That gives us next year to bring in Miller (who I'm extremely high on) and hopefully Stroud. A year of development while Fields balls out in what will likely be his final season should put us in good shape imo. One of Miller and/or Stroud will be getting the keys to the Ferrari with excellent coaching. It'll work out just fine.
