Does this guy have a thread? Couldn’t find it. Also didn’t see him listed on the offer page.

What’s the deal on his recruitment?

No thread yet, as he’s not been offered. He’s been discussed a bit in the 22 in-state thread.

Right now his ranking is mostly based on potential. Ideally, I think the staff would like to evaluate him in person before offering.

Yeah I wondered if he was a project type. I’d like to see 3 OTs in a class of 5 for the OL.

I could be wrong but I just don’t have a good vibe on Rice. I think Goodwin is a lock and I think Dewberry is a very real contender although I wonder if he could slide inside. If those guys are in, then I could see the staff pursuing an elite OT until late in the process and keeping Wagner is a plan B guy unless he blows up and forces their hand earlier. And to be clear, I’m not saying Goodwin won’t be elite, it’s just that he is still developing.

For the interior, I’d really like to see Green and then look for someone the staff sees at C. With Jackson in the ‘21 class (a future All American type stud) I’m a little less worried about the interior and Green will likely be elite so landing him and then a true C is good enough for me knowing someone could slide inside (like Dewberry, etc)

With Tegra already in and Goodwin darn near in ink IMO, it leaves 3 spots and I’d be very pleased with Dewberry, Green and someone at Center.

I could be totally wrong, but I agree with you on Rice. I’m not as bullish on Dewberry as you, I think that’s going to be a really tough pull. I think Addison Nichols is a more realistic option, and it sounds like Ewers has personally targeted him. Goodwin should be a Buckeye, although Clemson would be a factor if they offered and went all in according to Wiltfong.

In my opinion, right now it seems like the most probable tackle class would be Tshabola, Nichols and Goodwin with Wagner as a possibility if they get the chance to evaluate him/move on him relatively soon.
