Game Thread tOSU @ Virginia Tech, Sep 7 2015 @ 8pm ET, ESPN

As an SEC fan, other than the Alabama vs Auburn game of course, this is the game that I think that I anticipate seeing the most in 2015... just curious as to how Urban's adjustments will work this time around... Ezekiel Elliott is a known stud now, I think that he will have a field day.

every team OSU played last year after VT used their game plan to some degree or another.

I thin Urbs adjustments are well proven at this point

VT is going to get fucked up

Game will be ugly. Pure ugly.

There will not be a beatdown this severe until Harbough's welcoming to The Game. Whatever the spread is... doesn't matter. Take the Bucks. Whatever the over/under is... doesn't matter. Take the Over. Wisconsin thinks the plunger hurt? That was nothing compared to what we're going to watch happen to VT.

And THIS time, we won't have an untested QB and O-Line........regardless of who plays. :boom:

I hope it's as big a beat down as many are predicting, but I can say we won't play a DC as good as Bud Foster all year. I think their defensive talent is too good and they are too well coached, I have too much respect for that, to predict 50+. I feel very confident that we will hold them in check with our defense and that Zeke will break them down though and OSU will win. It'll be a very tough environment but what a difference it will make to open with this game instead of Navy...

I'm sure the DCs we face in the CFP will be pretty good too 8D

Pretty good, sure, but not as good as Bud was. Bud was the best DC we faced all season, easily.

Very few, if any, are on Foster's level. I have a great amount of respect for some of the other great DC's in college like Venables and Chavis though, those guys are in that upper echelon as well.

Just sayin': The Buckeye offense might have faced the best defensive coordinator in college football every day in practice.

:oh:....:io:

I go back to those who have suggested we put the plunger talk away. The teams I thought the Bucks would blow out: Navy, Va Teach, Penn State, Michigan they didn't. The teams I thought would be a tough match, Wisconsin, Oregon weren't. This was a team that seemed to me to play to the level of the competition in games I expected them to cruise and then amazed me against teams I thought had equal or better talent. I expect the Bucks to beat Va. Tech, but I don't see a 4 TD difference in the final score.

Chris Ash is a great young talent, no doubt about it and it won't be too long before he's running a sideline himself. But Ash has a ways to go to build a track record like some others out there.

I was thinking of Fickell, but Ash does bring something to the table too.

You're entitled to your opinion. Even if it's completely wrong.

Urban holds a grudge. It's going to get ugly quick.
