Game Thread tOSU vs. Cincinnati, Sept 27th @ 6pm ET, BTN

Here is what I expect. Cincy shows some unexpected looks on both sides of the ball, leading to an early score. Ohio State gets an early long return and holds Cincy on defense. I think that Ohio State finally has a game plan around Barrett and has its best outing on offense, albeit not its highest score. 45-14.

Their defense has not looked good against MAC teams. That says it all. But, we'll get their best shot of course. Cinci will look like the old Oakland Raiders with Daryl "The Mad Bomber" Lamonica at QB. It will be a wild game.

Ala VT...look how bad they actually are versus how they actually played us. And that will be heightened considering the in-state Napoleon complex. I still can't wait to see how our secondary handles the challenge though.

Tuberville definitely won't hold anything back, and will probably pull some trick plays to try and offset the talent differential. OSU has more talent at every position except QB and is playing at home, so I don't expect the game to ever be in doubt. I think your spread is about right, but that the score will be a little higher. Say 52-24 OSU. UC's only chance is to keep it close and hope for some lucky breaks.

This is going to be a real test. I don't care how the media portrays the game or opponent. Cinci will give the Buckeyes their best damn shot and they have the potential to attack a recent and still unknown weakness for this team.

Hope the Buckeyes destroy them.

I'll be driving out the morning of. I've only ever been there for big time OSU night games. Does anybody have any expectation on when I should get there if I want a decent parking spot?

Also...is the wait till a few minutes before kickoff strategy still alive and well for tix?

I park at the Ag building and try to get there as close to 6 AM as possible. And the tix strategy worked well for me last year, no idea this year. But the fact the team is not undefeated may help as well.

I'm 6 hours away....so 6am probably isn't going to be possible. I plan on leaving around 8am. I'm hoping that at least gets me into the WHAC lot (if there is still a WHAC lot).

How about UA area? We used to go to a motel over there and park and just walk/cab over to the tailgating area. 4 of us coming this week and it's been a while since I parked there.

There's no motels in UA. They just put a courtyard by Marriott here. However, if you don't mind a little walk, UA is the perfect place to park for free. You can now park on Lane Ave. But I don't know if they put gameday restrictions on it. Anywhere on College Hill Dr., Vassar Pl., or Wellesley Dr. will work. I suppose you could park south of Lane Ave. but I don't know what people do around there. From those locations, it's a 10 minute walk to west campus lots. You can either continue walking or take the shuttles from there.

If you want a normal parking spot, I would probably plan on getting there around 2-3pm
