One of the plays, I think it was in the 4th quarter, a defender had their QB dead to rights, but froze looking at the RB as the QB just ran around him. I actually said aloud, "oh shit" then the QB gained 12 yards.

This D has played at a NC level several times this year and has the talent to win it all. The offense has shown glimpses of playing at a NC level but certainly not at a consistent level. My take away from this point in the season is mostly centered on the O line play and play calling in general. I really think the biggest hurtle from last year has been the transition to the post Herman era. It's just been too much on Ed's plate and Beck has been learning the ropes. What I hope is happening is that Beck and/or Meyer or more involved on game day and Ed can spend more time with the slobs. IMO we win or lose based on the play of the O Line and the perimeter blocking skills of the WR group. Urbs is right, the QB is a reflection of those around him - the players as well as the coaches.

Yep, lots of positives on the Offensive side of the ball including play calling. This was the kind of Offense we were expecting to see. New OC, new QB coach and new RB coach has taken awhile to gel.

Defense has been weak down the middle all year. Not sure what the solution is but Ash and Fick need to come up with some answers. Injuries and suspensions haven't helped. Teams that use their TE (PSU, MSU, scUM) a lot concern me. Hopefully it will get fixed this week.

From C deck in the north endzone I think I watched them do that at least 3 times and there was another 2 or so that the QB gave it and the running back was tackled for a loss when if he would have pulled it he could have walked for 10 yards

Few things could help the team out more than the hype train currently building around that team up north.

They're no longer the best team in the big ten? Perfect.

They're now a big underdog on the road in the final game of the season? Even better.

This team obviously has the talent to be great, a little extra motivation is exactly what they need to take the next step (along with the offensive coaches continuing to figure things out).

Agreed. And I personally love losing the first place votes. Anything that Urb can use as motivation is good with me.
