I have no clue how Painter has squeezed 19 wins this season, and 10-4 in conference, out of his collection of misfit toys.

Whatever else you say about the guy, he's a heck of a bench coach.

Purdue has some good young talent, including a couple of Ohio boys. Dakota Mathias, out of Elida, and Vince Edwards, out of Middletown. Both have played very well and been integral parts of the turnaround this year. Also, their ability to have two of the best post players in the conference (Hammons and Haas) means they basically always have a great post option to keep the defense honest, while opening driving lanes for their many good athletes on the perimeter. Of all games where it may actually make sense to use more zone than normal lately, this may be the one. Purdue seems to struggle from the outside. Deny Deny Deny the post-entry!

I thought that Williams, along with Thompson, showed more energy than they have played with this season against Nebraska and if they bring that same energy against Purdue will be fine

I hope so we need them but history tells us Thompson and Amir will revert to the mean. Russell will be needed as well as Tate..

No need to worry about Tate because he brings it every game. My concern about Russell has to do with the "cramp".
