During his season in Gainesville, Turner helped Florida earn an 8-4 record, reach the SEC Championship Game, play in the 2020 Cotton Bowl and finish as the No. 12 team in the nation.

Prior to his appointment at Florida, Turner spent 2019 as a member of the strength and conditioning staff at Iowa State. While with the Cyclones, he worked specifically with the Cyclones football team as the season culminated in an appearance in the Camping World Bowl against Notre Dame.

Turner worked for three seasons as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Maryland between 2016-18.
