As many know NCAA 2005 will be released shortly and I'm getting very excited as it looks like another excellent game in the series. One of the big additions this year is the homefield advantage of certain teams. There will be a list of the top 25 toughest places to play. I definately think the shoe is the toughest place to play especially the last 2 years, undefeated at home and our crowd attendance and noise level is spectacular. Of course I'm biased but i've also been to the shit house up north and it doesnt compare. What do you guys think?

Lots of props given there to The Shoe, being ranked as the #3 toughest place to play.

I trust that is Miami of Ohio not FL at #25... I think cryami's stadium is half filled for most games (not exactly a home field advantage)...

nope thats the thug stadium. the miami fans claim that winning should count and they are nearly unbeatable at home.

of course...this has nothing to do with their NFL calibre team that could win in my highschool stadium that seats about 500 people.

also, the hot weather is a factor.....apparently when miami has the ball it cools off?

edit: this is what pisses me off about miami fans. they think miami is the best in EVERY catagory of college football. i got banned at grassy because i tried to tell them miami isnt exactly a tradition rich scool.

you mean you have to go past '82 to have tradition...?? :tongue2:  :tongue2:

Having a good team and having a big home field advantage is a big difference!! To bad cryami and the video game couldn't figure it out...

Theres apparently a strategy guide out that shows the rankings for all the teams. heres Ohio State:

    Ohio State
    Overall -95
    qb- 93
    rb- 79
    wr - 87
    ol - 89
    dl - 82
    lb - 87
    db - 90
    st teams - 98

    Key off player - Fullback #38 82spd 90 awar 70 catch 68 run blcking
    Key defensive - LE #75 76spd 84 strth 94 awar 86 tack
Undrclssman to watch DT #90 spd 65 strgth 86 awar 70 tackl 86

Brandan Joe with 90 speed! can you say pro form?!

seems like they have the qb a bit too high and the lb's a bit too low...

BN27- Joe has 82 SPD. The 90 rating is for AWR. I remember reading during E3 that he was the highest rated FB.

its an overall ranking.....looks like they are using a 2 QB system?

i dont care, i run the ball about 70% of the time.

edit: dammit. oh well, 82 is still blazing for a FB!

    but wait theres more:

    Ohio State's receivers
    #4 Santonio Holmes - 88 Ovr (94 spd)
    #8 Roy Hall - 84 Ovr (65 str)
    #3 Bam Childress - 83 Ovr (92 spd)

    Ohio State's linebackers
    #47 AJ Hawk - 93 Ovr
    #51 Anthony Schlegel - 88 Ovr
    #42 Bobby Carpenter - 85 Ovr
    #1 Thomas Matthews - 76 Ovr

Where can I find more early rating info, I'd like to look at OSU player by player ratings. I need a quick fix until the 12th!

Edit: Interesting side note: The swamp is actually used for the enhanced stadium sounds in NCAA 2005, Tiburon is a Florida based company and surround mic'd the swamp on game day to get all the sounds. That likely has SOMETHING (not everything) to do with the fact they are number 1. Amazing that even with the huge capacity that scUM Stadium is so low on the list. Even video game designers know a crap hole when they smell it!
