Is it my imagination, or is it becoming very apparent that these two really aren't that fond of each other? I remember an interview of Carr before THE GAME where he pretty much stated that they were certainly not close friends. Carr is making a lot of comments that strengthen that belief. Personally, its making me like him less and less. You can pretty much can the "classy guy" persona, when he's down, the real Carr comes out. And low and behold, he comes across as a bit of a jerk.

You guys seeing the same thing?

Say what you will about Cooper, but the guy never trash-talked and whined like we're now hearing out of TSUN. Carr obviously doesn't enjoy being the bitch in the relationship.

Personally, I'm loving every second of it!

Somebody needs to tell Lloyd that you can't take the high road and claim that you will not resort to trash talking, then start trash talking and throwing tantrums like a four year old when you don't get your way.

Hey, Lloyd! Want to go to the BCS Championship Game? Don't give up 42 fucking points!

Sore LLLLLoser.

Yep. I'm also seeing that win or lose, win ugly or lose big time, JT is a gentleman's gentleman: composed, consistent, respectful, graceful, humble.

The most tension I've ever seen on JT's face was after the Illinois game. The man was NOT a happy camper.

LLoyd is a tool. Lucky for us, he only lost 1 game this year. After last season, I thought the natives would be restless, but a nice season by LLoyd
and the passing of Bo gives him a little more slack on his rope.

Hopefully by the time he uses that rope, English will be a HC elsewhere.

I think that Voyd is playing the negative motivation game. "Those Buckeyes cheated with magic shoes and then cut us out of a rematch because they are afraid of us. Let's beat USC and then let's take care of business at our place next year and give them the arse-kicking they deserve. Yatta, yatta, yatta."

I am very sure that he thought he would win this year and coming so close, with Bo's loss and all, it must really hurt. Don't forget, Bo was his big protector.

He cries and whimpers to the officials and press but the players seem to think he is a great guy. But let's be honest, in addition to beer, just about every football player I ever met really likes, oh well...

Here's and early prediction for next year. Voyd is gonna make beating Ohio State an every day thing the entire year. They'll be working out over the summer to beat us, working out in the gym to beat us, running over carpets that tell 'em to beat us. He will have that team thinking about us for the entire year and they will come out next year so bloody wired that we'll actually beat them despite being solid underdogs.

Why all the hubris? Because Voyd knows that scenario plays out well and that he might last past one more loss, but maybe not, and he certainly won't last past two.

Ok, flash back to the Cooper Era (I realize most of us would like to pretend those years never happened so you can wipe them from your memory after this). Llllloyd was on top, he had a NC under his belt, he was leading the most winning program in college football and beating his rival 80% of the time. He was loved in Michigan, the best recruits were interested and anything he did that there was a second look at, Bo was there to nod.

Now, to current day:

A new coach went to the rival team and Carr has been losing 80% of the time, websites are coming up everyday calling for his head. This year he had the chance to make everything ok, he went through the first 11 games un-defeated. He got to the last game and couldn't get it done. Now more people are calling for his head, Bo has passed away so the umbrella of protection is gone and he's facing a lot of heat.

On top of that, in the past 4 years his rival team has gone to 3 BCS bowls, won all of them including a national championship. Suddenly Tressel has put a lot of pressure on him and everytime he feels like he's gotten the upper hand he finds out he's wrong.

One day on the Jim Rome show I heard a caller "War Llllloyd Carr, The State of Ohio's second favorite coach"

Tressel turned him from a hero into a choker, he doesn't want to change his game plan and now he's suffering for it. More recruits look to OSU than to UM, at the beginning of the season his teams find themselves ranked below the buckeyes and he's gotta be suffering a lot of pressure.

Honestly, if I was in Carrs shoes, I don't think I would like Tress very much either :)

That goes for former players as well. (Chris Perry and Michael Taylor's anti-OSU rants have been well documented) Hell, Tom Brady was bashing Florida yesterday.

I continue to agree with you Bucks on Voyd: His hubris gains negative momentum with each Buckeye spanking. Short tempered, bullying refs, sniping at frivolous irritants, characterizing JT's recent decision as "slick". I bet he goes home from the weasel toilet bowl pissed most days.

His players merely reflect Voyd's attitude, from what I read.

Lllllloyd, while being interviewed by Herbie, on the Awards Show.

"With a playoff, maybe we could settle things on the field."

"I voted Ohio State #1, Michigan #2, Florida #3. We didn't get enough votes. The system has spoken. I wish those two teams all the best in Glendale."
