Even if the base of the neck is tweaked and we ignore the countless personal experiences with neck soreness or spasms radiating throughout the shoulder to skull region, his head whipped backwards and to the side. Holding it forward could easily lighten the strain on a strained or sprained muscle.

My initial post asked if anyone heard what actually happened. Thanks for the explanation--I'm sure you're right.
