There's a surf competition that only goes one if the waves are big enough (20'), and I think it's the Eddie Aikau event. Haven't heard if it's on, because even that competition has safety requirements if I'm not mistaken (not a surfer, so...).

EDIT: Just checked the website and the event is off for tomorrow pending more info on the swells

My parents are dealing very well with having not only me and my two wild cats at home, but also hosting my quarantined feral rescue cat with leukemia in a very large dog kennel in their office. Poor thing was turning into a real lovebug and I was about to do an adoption campaign for him, and now he's all mad and confused after being dragged to PA and back. But at least he wasn't outside for the storm.

Anyway, in the end it's just less stuff and a house that won't quite appreciate as planned. I can deal with that.
