Troy Smith Saga has begun.....

"Well, it is up for grabs," Tressel said.

There is your quote from Tressel the week of the Cincy game when Zwick was named the starter.

BuckeyeNation, I believe I gave my proof that the job wasn't open. Look back a few posts, because I don't feel the need to repost it.
You didn't "prove" anything, and you can't in this case. I love how people read a few articles, watch a couple games and decide that the coach "lied" based on so little evidence. You've been exposed to about 1% of Zwick-Smith that JT has, yet you think you have it all figured out. That's funny.

No one agrees with me and that is fine. I realize I'm trying to argue with "JT can do no wrong" Buckeye fans. But, that's what fans are supposed to do I guess. Support the coach no matter what.
Wrong.

It isn't "support the coach no matter what", but rather, if you attack the coach, have something legitimate to back it up. All you have is a fraction of the evidence that JT has, none of his experience and track record, and a bunch of opinions based on virtually nothing.

And yet, we're supposed to buy into your argument, or risk being call blind loyalists to JT. Give me a break.

FWIW, I understood it. What does that say about me? Yikes. "Deutschland, Deutschland, uber alles..."

Well- At least now we know why 'certain' posters here have followed a policy of 'paint chip appeasement' to secure 'peace for our time.'

Kids Will Be Kids

Sometimes, I think our expectations of theses kids are way too high. Look, he's a 20 year old who is disappointed that his lifetime dream is not presently being fullfilled. He spouted off in anger and the press ran a mile w/ it.

JT and Troy were able to get on the same page as early as the next day. Lets face it. The media cherry picked this kid for an interview in order to elicit and run w/ a sour grapes story.

I wonder how much would have been made of it if it did not come during a news starved bye week. Press probably wouldnt have requested an interview w/ him to begin with.

I really think this is a non-issue til the end of the season when it was destined to become an issue if TS didnt play. I am much more concerned with how our running game improves compared to whether our 2nd( possibly soon 3rd) string QB is gonna x-fer. Thank god we have a game in 24 hrs!
