It was a challenging idea to start with to put McConaughey and Harrelson in the same show. They've both always struck me as pretty far off the reservation (Earth's), so the chemical reaction could be highly combustible.

The first two episodes were a little slow (although Woody with his side piece was very nice). The third episode was an awesome set up to what looks like a dynamite fourth episode. Due to the Super Bowl, we'll have to wait until the 9th.

Im trying to figure out why they are interviewing Woody and Matthew. Must be a case the black detectives are presently working. McConaghey looks like he's guilty of something, but that probably only to set us up for a twist.

They're investigating a similar murder and want to know if it's the same killer. I think in the first episode they mentioned that files from the '95 investigation were destroyed.

This show is a really interesting concept, and I think they're pulling it off exceptionally well!

I'm guessing the modern day detectives believe Rust (Matthew's character) committed the new murder and he's either copycatting the 95 murder or he committed the 95 murder as well and steered the investigation toward somebody else. When the modern day detectives asked Woody this week if he felt Rust was steering the investigation, I think that was a big tell.

Maybe i hyped it up in my own mind a little too much based on the preview and the extra week wait but I was a bit disappointed in the new episode. I feel like it lacked the really sharp dialogue of the previous episodes and the whole scene at the end jumped the shark in my IMO

Anyone considered the fact that what you are seeing in 1995 may or may not have actually happened? What you are seeing in 1995 is what they are telling the investigators in 2012....not necessarily the full truth.

Initially watching it, most of the episode just felt rushed. The last scene was fantastic. I think some people are probably pissed because they thought it was going to be about Reggie Ledoux.

They straight up lied to the investigators about going to Texas.
