Holy Shit!

That second one is quite telling of what happened! My next door neighbor grew up in Tokelau (it's a small island chain near Western Samoa) and he said when they were kids when big waves came in over the small Island they would have to tie themselves to coconut trees so they weren't swept away! Had to wait for the water to go down I guess...Holy Shit!

Here are some places to send a donation if you are so inclined. (I'm sure there are other organizations as well if these, for some reason aren't satisfactory, I only say that because I'm picky about what charities I give money to... also... if you itemize on your taxes... well.. its 12/29)

And, Holy Shit, it was triggered by Anak Krakatoa. Documentaries I've seen about it have always said it had the potential to blow the same way its daddy did in 1883. Not a happy sign that it's being this active now.

And, what is the deal with tsunamis at Christmas time? They suck whenever they happen, but it really stinks to have disasters this time of year.
