Oh, wait a minute. You could always leverage your fame with a lifetime career in Detroit. There's always that.

Detroit looks like Boston circa 2288 in Fallout 4.

I'm proud our fans are donating but being a father of a little guy who lived 2 months I have to ask what is their motivation to donate that amount. If I were in Chad's parents' position I would have an extremely hard time accepting those donations. When you haven't lived through something as tough as what they or our family has gone through it is best not to poke even the slightest amount of fun at it. You have no idea how gut wrenching it is, but please donate to them just don't make it that amount.

From someone who hasn't lived through anything even remotely like that, my opinion might be worth less than $62.39. But I would imagine that this ChadTough Foundation is happy for every penny they receive, from a fan of any team in the world.

And, not to sound heartless, but I wouldn't even know about this foundation if it weren't for this football game, and I'm sure I'm not alone. Is it better to get the $62.39 from "hundreds of Buckeye fans" or probably a number closer to $0?

I say if you want to donate $62.39, then donate $62.39. If you want to donate $29.53, then donate $29.53. They're just numbers, and it's the fact that the total contributed is increasing that counts.

I was looking at their depth chart with all the loses on D that they already have and he was one of the few bright spots.

Of their 8 man two deep DL they are now returning 4 star Junior Carlos Kemp, 3 star Soph Kwity Paye, and 3 star Junior Michael Dwumfour.

They have some solid DTs in the incoming class - but they will be true Frosh. They have some serious issues.

Then look at all the kids who are skipping the bowl games (contrasted with OSU) and you have to wonder what the hell is going on up there.

Lovin' it.

I know exactly what's going on there. Hairball is doing to scUM what he did to the Niners, and in the same time frame as well.

My son died in his 20s, but 2 months or 25 yrs, losing them is something beyond describing. I agree with you that people sending these checks don't really "get it," but I do believe they mean well. They see it as a harmless, even cheerful, lighthearted poke at UM, all while doing a nice thing for the Carr family. They aren't thinking beyond that. I'm positive you know all about people who mean well but say or do the wrong things.

I think I would accept the money because it goes to a good cause, but yes, it would give me . . . that twinge.

All my sympathies and best wishes.

So, I guess they're referring to their 2019 haul as "goon squad 19"

Etymology
The term "goon" was reputedly coined by F. L. Allen in 1921,[6] perhaps a variant of the US slang "gooney" which had been around since at least 1872, meaning a simpleton or fool,[7] which may have derived from "gony", applied by sailors to the albatross and similar big, clumsy birds (c.1839). In the late 1930s, E. C. Segar’s comic strip Popeye had a character named "Alice the Goon". It was from this character that large stupid people or stupid things came to popularly be called "goons" and the term entered into general use. [6][8] "Goon" evolved into slang for a thug (1938),[9] someone hired by racketeers to terrorize political or industrial opponents (1938),[10] or a German stalag guard for American POWs (1945).[9]

Yeah... sounds about right. Fuckin morons.

Goon Squad on Mal'ganis is the greatest guild in the history of World of Warcraft. They used emergent game play, or what the developers call "a clever use of game mechanics" right before they ban you, to pull off feats that no one else had even dreamed were a possibility.

They captured Wintergrasp, a large scale PvP battle based around capturing a large fortress with siege engines, in 30 seconds by blowing the walls of the fortress up with crafted Saronite Bombs. Wintergrasp battles usually lasted around 45 minutes or so. A patch was then added to the game to make the fortress immune to Saronite Bombs.

Goon Squad also recorded the world first, and only, Tirion Fordring kill. Tirion was the Paladin NPC that lead the attack on Icecrown Citadel to kill Arthas Menethil, the Lich King. Goon Squad managed to glitch Precious, a huge undead dog mini-boss, up into the throne room and get Tirion aggravated with her, which allowed them to attack him. Once again a patch was quickly introduced to prevent this from happening again. Video of the Tirion kill still exists, but the quality is terrible considering it's from 2010, but the howls of laughter when they realized it was going to work are unforgettable.

In short, this signing class for TTUN is NOTHING like Goon Squad.

Maybe they mean their class intends to do things that the NCAA would call "a clever use of rule manipulation" before getting banned?

I mean...I don't really care which hill they pick....you know.....as long as they still die.

I am greedy.

I want them to die (slowly and in excruciating agony of course) on some meaningless, random hill that has nothing to do with the actual battle being fought because their guano bat shit crazy leader is too stupid to read a map.

It's the only proper ending for them.
