I'm wondering if Jimmy's ego will allow for someone else to be as big of a douche bag as he is?

Fake death threats and hissy fits over internet jokes are up there with recruit sleepovers and rap videos.

Jim Kardashian just let another rooster into the attention whore hen house and I am anxious to see how this particular (needle) dick measuring contest will play out.

While McElwain comes in with a very Jim Harbaugh track record—aging successes and recent debacles paired with press interactions that make him seem slightly insane...
His Florida offense scored 10 points on TTUN in two games. His defense had 14. Great pick up, Jim.
They've essentially hired a guy based off of what he did with a middling program after he was able to lure away a former 5star who would've never seen the field at Bama. And off of what he did with a room full of the best talent in America. He now inherits a decent WR group, no QB outside a prayer of a kid becoming eligible from transfer, average RBs at best and a clusterfuck of an OL. And that's not including he's coaching with some of the most inept minds who love their egos stroked, for a fan base who still thinks its the 90s... Good scUM

Michigan football: ‘Recruiting classes alone don’t win you games, ex-Wolverines lineman says

One look at the ranking of the 2018 recruiting class didn’t force Kyle Kalis to cower. Instead, the former Michigan offensive lineman put an uncharacteristically low rating into perspective.

“Recruiting classes alone don’t win you games,” Kalis told Land of 10. “ Developing players, and getting guys with the right mindset that want to win do. I’m sure Coach [Jim] Harbaugh accomplished that goal with this class even if it’s not the No. 1 recruiting class.”

I hear what he's saying, but it still makes little sense. In CFB, a great recruiting with average to terrible coaching can still get you 7-8 wins in most conferences, sometimes more. The coaching would be the factor in late close games and specific situations, but talent can truly take over in CFB. Another example of the DFBIA trying to save face from having an average season and the cherry on top being an average recruiting class. Recruiting classes can set back programs back years

What he meant to say:

"Recruiting classes alone don’t win you games,” Kalis told Land of 10. “Take a look at me. I was highly rated and we all know how that turned out... .”

Getting recruits with low rankings is only part of the issue. You went after the recruits with high rankings and couldn't get them. That is a recruiting fail.

Besides, recruiting success absolutely correlates with on the field success when you approach the top of the CFB pyramid.

Right. The idea posited by blood on the field makes the assumption that the opponent doesn't also coach up their talent. I mean, in a vacuum, it's true - a developed class of 3 stars is probably going to do better than a team of 5 stars who received no coaching (think Cholly's ND clubs, for example) But, not only has Meyer, for example, assembled more talent, he's also coaching up that talent.

All of which is to say - any way any of those morons want to slice it, they're lagging behind.

By... a wide, wide margin

I also wanted to quote this sentence:
Jim Kardashian just let another rooster into the attention whore hen house and I am anxious to see how this particular (needle) dick measuring contest will play out.
While also having nothing additional to add. @Jagdaddy

Ehh that offense was based a lot more on Grayson and Higgins... think the Bama RB was either ineligible or injured their breakout year.
He did some things at Colorado State that his predecessors and successors haven't been able to remotely repeat and looked like he might be a bit of a QB whisperer, but maybe it was just having a QB that should've been at a P5 school in a weak MWC. Certainly nobody remembers McElroy. Maybe he bought into his own press releases with the move to UF. Maybe the toxic UF environment got to his head.
Who knows... back to eval standard.
But I will say, the observations about bringing in another 3yard-and-a-cloud-of-dust OC are spot on. This isn't a guy that's going to put any electricity into the Offense... he'd probably do well with another retread like Ruddock... but Shea Patterson? I'm betting they try to force a square peg through a round hole.
