I just picked it up (due to getting my G1), and I have to say it's pretty sweet keeping up with my far away friends and family sentence at a time. Plus it's a powerful way to dispense news. (via reTweeting).

Also, I follow Shaq. He twitters a TON.

Mark Titus "tweets"

Here are a few tweets of his, as he was watching the Spelling Bee. :slappy:

Is Anasazi her name or the word she's trying to spell?
...

The Michigan kid choked. This should be surprising to nobody.
...

"Can you use it in a freestyle rap please?"
...

"Can you use it as a euphemism please?"

Has anybody found a way to make Twitter useful in any meaningful way (as opposed to simply "cool")? Lots of people I am associated with are starting to encourage its use, but darned if I can figure out how it is going to be anything but a time waster.

I have a lot of money out in Vegas right now in the World Series of Poker. I have demanded all my horses get a Twitter account and tweet during event breaks or after winning/losing large pots. Now I get live updates of my money whatever I'm doing.

Gizmodo - Twitter Device Tweets Heartbeat, Scares Relatives When Twitter Crashes - Heart Monitor
We have to hand it to that Twitter thing. From further boosting the egos of outspoken tech industry personalities to supporting Iranian revolutions, the service has demonstrated its strengths. Today, the service can let relatives know you are still alive. Developed by Japanese geek forum Koress Project, the Akiduki Pulse box does this by autonomously posting your heartbeat to Twitter. Once there, friends, family and enemies can all watch as your natural rhythms play out on the world stage in real time.
"Now I can die and post this info to Twitter. That's what I call a revolution!" and "Use the Akiduki Pulse box when you do sports, are in love or don't even know yourself if you're still alive!".
