Right up there with the "blessed" proclamation on every offer received.

Getting on my soapbox: Watched a JV lacrosse game last night. One of the kids on the field, no joke, had his legs amputated right around the knee level. It was inspiring to watch a kid go out and give it his all like that. We sometimes refer to LAX as the Medicine Game and playing for the creator's enjoyment... was so impressed to see that kid play our game in that spirit.

Long story short, I believe that while it's become a bit cliche to say 'blessed,' there's a good number of those kids who do recognize their God given talents and do feel blessed with the opportunities in front of them. I don't think that it takes extreme situations like I just described for a lot of these kids to recognize that they're different and, in fact, blessed.

Getting off my soapbox now.

Nation’s No. 5 Athlete Marquez Beason Has OSU in Top 4

Beason displays elite speed and acceleration, which he can use on both sides of the ball. As a slot receiver, he can find a zone over the middle of the field, and then get yards — a lot of them — after the catch. He isn’t just a straight-line runner, either. He has tremendous avoidability and can downshift when necessary. Watching some of the routes above, it’s easy to picture him doing the same thing in Ohio State’s offense.

As a cornerback, Beason can run with any receiver he faces. His experience as a receiver makes him a natural when it comes to playing the ball in the air. He doesn’t have ideal size at the position, but he also isn’t at any kind of disadvantage. His ultimate position may not be known until he’s been on campus for a few practices.

You can see Beason on offense and defense in the highlights below.
