Marvin Wilson, The Nation's Top-Ranked 2017 Defensive Tackle Offered by Ohio State

.../snip/...
"I haven't hear from Ohio State since my freshman year, they came to my school," Wilson, 6-foot-4 and 315-pounds told 11W. "I told them I wanted to go there, that it was my favorite school. I would have committed that day if they would have offered me."
.../snip/....
"I just loved watching Adolphus Washington and Joey Bosa destroy offensive lines, they caught my attention," Wilson added. "I've always liked Ohio State and LSU since in was little. The environments at those place are like no other."

LOVE hearing the quotes from him. We've been needing an elite 1-technique for going on the third recruiting class. This guy is certainly one. If Ohio State is the right place for him, he would be an absolutely perfect fit for our defense... especially with LJ teaching him the ropes

Plus he's the #1 overall prospect in the state of Texas and #4 overall in the country.

Not sure we have much of a shot but this is a guy you make a full run at, especially with limited spots and such a need for a player like Wilson. If he wants to play immediately for an elite program, here's his chance.

I doubt I'm the only one but I'd rather have this guy for our 3rd DT in this class than the ultra talented 3rd RB we are looking at. In a normal year we could take both but with limited spots, give me the beast in the middle of the defense over the playmaker - which we certainly have no shortage of.

Games and championships are won in the trenches. Fully agree

There won't be 3 Elite RBs in an already tight class that looks to take 9 spots between DB and WR. A 3rd DT is far more important than a 3rd RB, we've at least landed high ranked RB talent although none of it's proven yet. Quality starters and depth is still a huge concern at DT. Even a 4th DT would be more important than a 3rd RB.

Not really sure why you don't think we have much of a shot. He says he's been a big fan of Ohio State, has been wanting an offer, and immediately upon receiving that offer puts us in his top three without ever making a visit. I'd say we're in pretty good shape. I would not be surprised if he pulled the trigger after a visit here...

I'll echo that, especially with Odukah and Dobbins in his ear
