Some recent chatter about FSU.....I still think he's all LSU but some in Tally are getting their hopes up.

I think OSU is a distant third in this race between the two southern schools honestly. FSU thinks they can get the family to move to Tally without much heartburn....they've got family in Lousiana, but Tally is a straight shot through the I-10 corridor. They're emptying their barrels on this recruit......

It's remarkable that FSU keeps pulling these D linemen last minute, after they seemingly have no interest. In some ways, reminds me of Calipari's early years at UK.

When Josh Kaindoh committed to the Terps, he said there was no way he was going to change his mind - he wanted to prove that 5* recruits can go to the local school. Six months later, he decommits and (surprise surprise) ends up at FSU. You got to hand it to whoever is in charge of their DL recruiting.

FSU is arguably the best pipeline to the NFL right now...LSU has most players, but its dwindling a bit looking at last year and this year in terms of draft classes.

But FSU has amazing young talent in league (Davonta Freeman, Jalen Ramsey, Jameis Winston, Mario Edwards, Ronald Darby, Kelvin Benjamin, Tim Jerningan....the list goes on and on) and Jimbo is a good coach. Its not surprising they are an attractive location for many young players, who want to stay south, but not necessarily in SEC. In fact, just a few years ago, it came out FSU was recruiting kids by telling them they could make first day draft picks, without the "wear and tear" of playing in SEC.

The ACC is pretty much Clemson and Florida State. We talk about the B1G being just Ohio State and Michigan but other schools have been poking their head in (Penn State, Michigan State, Wisconsin) over the past 10 years. If a kid goes to FSU/Clemson, they have a 50/50 chance of playing in the Playoffs each year with no wear and tear. It's attractive.

Exactly this....although if you want to play the hindsight game, ACC was prob best conference in country last year. But agreed otherwise.....if you want to be a standout conference player, have a shot at the playoff every year, and stay in the south.....FSU is a helluva option. And it doesn't hurt the UF is basically what Michigan was under Brady Hoke and Miami isn't paying players anymore. FSU has a firm grip on the state right now and its showing in recruiting and the talent they're pumping out.
